Help the Bed-Stuy CSA


JOIN THE BED-STUY CSA CORE GROUP
Apply to be a member of the Bed-Stuy CSA Core Group!

Making the CSA volunteer-run allows the Bed-Stuy CSA to keep its overhead low and, therefore, the membership price low. While all members are required to volunteer 4 hours during the harvest season, Core Members volunteer a significant amount of time to make the entire program run smoothly and successfully. Core Members are each responsible for a specific area of work, like outreach, event planning, communications and managing the pick-up site. In return, Core Members are given a $150 discount on their share prices.

DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH TIME? HERE ARE SOME OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP:
Whether you become a member or not, we need your help to keep this project growing and sustainable! The Bed-Stuy CSA is volunteer-run by its members and receives in-kind donations from several allied organizations. This year, we've raised money to increase our enrollment of low-income residents and food stamp recipients through educational efforts. If you live or work in Bed-Stuy help us spread the word.

Do you work at a public school in Bed-Stuy? Live in an apartment complex in Bed-Stuy? Work at a health clinic in the area? We want to make a presentation to your community about the benefits of the Bed-Stuy CSA and how your community members can sign up. Contact us for more information.
